Case Overview
An industrial furnace manufacturer building box and continuous furnaces was replacing imported heating-element wire whose resistance per meter was uncontrolled. Elements assembled from different spools produced uneven heat distribution, while premature element failures triggered warranty claims. The OEM needed wire with verifiable electrical properties and predictable life.
DZX qualified with FeCrAl element wire held to ±5% resistance per meter, supplied with surface-oxidation condition and documented maximum service temperatures by grade. This eliminated element-to-element power variation and restored the OEM’s confidence in its warranty commitments.

Our Solution
Imported element wire disappointed the OEM in three areas:
- Resistance variation: resistance per meter varied by more than ±8% between spools, producing uneven furnace temperatures and hot spots that shortened element life.
- Inconsistent surface oxide: variable oxide quality affected high-temperature emissivity and service life.
- Warranty risk: premature failures prompted customer claims. The OEM needed documented material properties to substantiate and improve its element designs.

DZX made electrical performance a delivery specification:
FeCrAl element wire was drawn with resistance per meter within ±5%, verified by batch, with documented diameter tolerances and surface condition. NiCr grades covered moderate-temperature elements requiring ductility after service. Every batch included chemistry, resistance and dimensional reports, while our application data provided element-life guidance for OEM design validation.
