CuNi resistance alloy

Copper-nickel alloy (Cu-Ni), often called white copper in China, is mainly composed of copper and nickel, and contains small amounts of iron and manganese. These alloys offer extremely high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, low resistivity, and good thermoelectric properties. They significantly reduce the temperature coefficient of resistance and have mechanical and physical properties superior to most other copper alloys. CuNi alloy has excellent ductility, high hardness, beautiful appearance, excellent corrosion resistance, and supports deep drawing processing, showing good performance at both normal and high temperatures. In addition, they offer excellent machinability, weldability, and are non-magnetic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does NC015 on the CuNi10 page mean? How does it correspond to МН10?

The page lists commonly used grades as NC015, CuNi10, and МН10. The NC number corresponds to the 20°C resistivity range: the resistivity on this page is 0.15±10%, and the number is NC015. Reported as NC015, CuNi10 or Russian standard МН10, the factory produces white copper with 10% nickel.

Wire material 0.01-8mm (bright wire, annealed wire), strip thickness 0.01-0.2mm, plate thickness 0.2-100mm, rod diameter 2-250mm, pipe outer diameter 3-500mm, wall thickness 0.5-50mm, press the name of CuNi10/МН10 to inquire and supply.

The thermoelectric potential of copper at 0~100℃ is -25μV/℃, which is more negative than the -22μV/℃ of CuNi8, indicating that the thermoelectric potential output paired with copper is stronger after the nickel content is increased. If the circuit requires clear thermal and electromotive force coordination, you can make an estimate first based on this reference value.
